# Garden Run

> Garden Run is a free, Strava-integrated platform for virtual running
> challenges. Runners join time-boxed challenges hosted by communities,
> log their runs through Strava, and complete real-world routes and
> distance goals alongside other runners around the world.

Garden Run turns running into shared, game-like challenges. A challenge sets a
goal — a distance to cover, a route to complete, a number of runs, or an amount
of time spent running — over a fixed window of days or weeks. Runners connect
Strava once; every qualifying run then counts automatically toward the
challenge. Communities host challenges for their members, and completing a
challenge can qualify a runner for a prize raffle.

There are three kinds of challenge:

- **Individual** — each runner works toward a personal goal (e.g. cover 50 km over two weeks).
- **Community** — everyone's distance adds up toward one shared target, often mapped onto a real-world route (e.g. crossing a country together).
- **Teams** — runners are split into teams that compete against each other.

Runners have logged more than 80,000 km together on Garden Run, with around a
90% challenge completion rate. It is free to join and runs on your own
schedule — there is no fixed race day.
